The camp was inaugurated by Qazi Salman, Director, PIB Srinagar, along with Dr. Murtuza Habib, Facility Director Paras Health. Speaking on the occasion, Qazi Salman said, “The media fraternity plays a vital role in strengthening democracy by acting as a bridge between the government and the people. Their well-being is of utmost importance, and this camp is a small step to acknowledge their contribution while ensuring their health needs are addressed.” Dr. Murtuza, noted, “Paras Health is pleased to partner with PIB Srinagar in this noble initiative. Journalists often work under immense pressure and stress, and such camps are essential for their health screening and preventive care. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote community health and wellness.” During the camp, journalists were examined by a team of doctors from diverse specialisations including Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, and Internal Medicine. Health consultations, basic diagnostic services, and awareness interactions were provided as part of the programme. Members of the media fraternity warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed their gratitude to PIB Srinagar and Paras Health for organising the camp.
